How Much Does a Small Business Website Cost in New Hampshire?

If you have asked three web designers what a small business website costs, you probably got three answers that were far apart. That is not because someone is lying. It is because “a website” can mean a one-page template or a full brand and lead-generation build, and the price follows the scope.

Here is what actually moves the number, so you can compare quotes fairly.

What you are really paying for

1. Strategy before design

A good build starts with questions: who calls you, what do they search for, which services make you money, and what should a visitor do next? That planning is why two sites that look similar can perform very differently. A quote that skips it is cheaper because the thinking is missing, not because the work is more efficient.

2. How many pages, and how much writing

A five-page site and a twenty-page site with separate pages for each service and each town you serve are different jobs. Service pages are usually what get a local business found, and each one needs real copy. Ask who writes it. If the answer is “you send us the text,” budget your own time for that.

3. Branding

If you already have a logo, colors, and a consistent look, the site gets built around them. If you do not, someone has to create that first, and it affects everything from your trucks to your invoices. Some packages bundle it. Others treat it as a separate project.

4. Custom work versus a template

A template with your logo dropped in is faster and cheaper. A custom build is shaped around how your customers decide. Neither is wrong. A template can be a sensible start for a brand-new business. A custom build makes more sense once the website is a real source of leads.

5. SEO setup

Page titles, descriptions, headings, internal links, image names, and a clean structure are the basics. They cost little to do at build time and a lot more to bolt on later. Ask whether this is included or an add-on.

6. Hosting, maintenance, and who owns what

WordPress sites need updates, backups, and security checks. Ask who handles them and what it costs per month. Also ask who owns the domain, hosting account, and admin login. You should be listed as the owner on all three.

What our packages look like

At Kanna Media Group, brand and website packages start at $7,995 for the Starter build, $9,995 for Growth, and $14,995 for the Premium buildout. Each includes planning, design direction, launch setup, mobile polish, and foundational SEO structure. Most builds take four to six weeks, depending on how quickly the content comes together. You can compare what is in each on the pricing page.

We are not the cheapest option, and we do not try to be. DIY site builders and freelancers can come in far lower. The trade-off is usually in planning, structure, and how much of the work lands back on you.

Questions to ask any designer before you sign

  • What exactly is included, page by page?
  • Who writes the content, and who sources the photos?
  • Is SEO setup included, and what does it cover?
  • Who owns the domain, the hosting, and the admin login?
  • What does monthly hosting and maintenance cost after launch?
  • How many rounds of revisions are included?
  • What happens if I want to leave later?

If a quote cannot answer those clearly, that tells you more than the price does.
